We take in the former famous residents of the square.

including Oscar Wilde, Daniel O’Connell, WB Yeats and many more, we talk about others that are associated with Merrion Square such as Brendan Behan, Mamie Cadden, Darkey Kelly, Buck Whaley and others.

We do a piece on most of the statues dotted along Merrion Square Park these statues of whom include Bernardo O’Higgins, Henry Grattan, Ae George Russell and Michael Collins.

The tour is fun, Informative with some great storytelling and lasts about an hour and 20 minutes. If guests wish they can join us for a pint of Guinness at one of Dublin’s Iconic traditional bars.

The Tour commences at the Oscar Wilde Statue located at the North East end of Merrion Square Park and finishes close to the starting point. The tour lasts about one hour and twenty minutes and because it is an outdoor walking tour guests are advised to wear comfortable shoes and bring an umbrella or head gear in case it rains.

The history and people who have lived on Merrion Square since 1762 are explored, we venture into the good bad and the ugly sides of the lives of the famous inhabitants of this beautiful Georgian Square. We delve into the great achievements and noted scandals of the mostly Anglo Irish Residents of this famous Dublin Square.

The Tour will begin at the Oscar Wilde Statue(monument)located at the North West end of Merrion Square Park and we recommend guests to arrive at least 10 minutes before the tour starts as we will need to check off everyone that has booked a ticket for the tour. We suggest people wear comfortable shoes and dress appropriately for the weather, Umbrella or head gear would come in handy in case of Rain.
